The Collective Review
Tempranillo is finally getting its time in the sun, fitting as it’s a grape that prospers in the heat. This iteration from Riverland innovators Collab & Bloom stays true to its Spanish origins, showing plenty of juicy fruit and soft tannins. It’s the perfect wine for pairing with an antipasto or charcuterie selection.
Offering fabulous fruit purity and perfume, the wine shows sweet plum, blueberry, floral and subtle spice aromas, leading to a succulent palate that's plump and silky. Delightfully composed and expressed, making it comforting and immediately drinkable. At its best: now to 2028. Read more

The name comes from the idea that ‘collaboration’ will ‘bloom’. Fair enough, I guess, though I hope that was a late night decision and not the result of paying consultants. As always, it is what is in the bottle that counts. This 100% varietal Tempranillo comes from David Blows’ Macclesfield vineyard in the Adelaide Hills. Magenta in colour, the nose is enticing – a mix of plums, florals, some warm earth, spices, animal skins, coffee grinds, red berries most notably cherries, but some black fruit notes as well. A wine with good grip on the finish, mid-length with silky tannins. This is an ideal wine for collaboration with roast lamb and it would undoubtedly bloom at a top-notch barbecue. Good now and for the next few years.
Black berries, pink peppercorn, sumac, tar, a little heat on the nose with a touch of vanilla, and herbal garrigue. Medium bodied, with great structure.
Spicy nose, cherries, plum, pepper. Good rounded palate, feels very well-sealed. Good palate weight, nice length. Reasonably simple, but this makes it easy to drink.

Tasting Notes
Juicy, smooth and oh-so easy to drink, our Tempranillo smells of forest violets, ripe cherry and vanilla. On the palate there are nuances of dusty earth, rich red fruits, vanilla and sun-baked leather.
